Our most recent review posted on TripAdvisor is below:
We were here all day for a work conference.
The hotel has a fresh modern feel. I believe Hilton have recently taken over the property and I suspect it has been fully renovated.
Staff were very friendly on arrival, showing us to the room rather than just pointing us in the right direction.
The room was a good size with big round tables and comfortable chairs. Each table was stocked with sweets, water and paper as you'd expect. They kept the room a comfortable temperature despite the hot weather outside.
Projector, screen and sound all worked well.
There was a break out area just outside the room with tea and coffee and a patio area which was lovely in the hot summer sun.
They had breakfast butties available before we started.
Later, we had slices of melon.
Lunch was served in a private area of the restaurant. The hotel laid on a special vegetarian menu for the team and it was all well thought out, wholesome options. There was cheesecake or chocolate cake and both looked amazing.
Later in the afternoon, we had tubs of ice cream which were a really nice touch in the hot weather.
Many of my work colleagues stayed for the night as well.
I'd definitely recommend the hotel for a similar event. York is a beautiful city with plenty of choice for evening activities and great transport links. The hotel is walking distance from the station.

Yes, Hilton is committed to reducing waste across our portfolio. All of our hotels were required to remove plastic straws, stir sticks and cocktail picks in 2019, and we are currently transitioning from individual bath toiletries to full-size dispensers.
