The 22 double and 9 single rooms at Hotel Malaspina provide the best comforts among those offered by 3 star hotels in Florence, ideal for both business and pleasure travelers. TV, telephone, minibar, safe and air conditioning are present in all the rooms, as is a private bathroom with shower, and in some cases with bathtub and shower, hairdryer and complimentary beauty kit. All the details of the wooden furniture have been carefully selected and are in classic Tuscan style just like the Florentine terra cotta tile floors. There is a convenient desk in each room and some have a pleasant living room area with armchairs and table and a pretty view of peaceful Piazza dell’Indipendenza. Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
