You will be picked up from the hotel at
8.30am, followed by a pleasant 45
minutes, rural drive, to the Kuang Si
Waterfalls, one of the most popular
destinations in Laos.
You can wonder the along the
numerous pools of turquois spring water
until you reach the spectacular main falls.
On your way can visit the Bear Rescue
Center, home to many Asiatic bears
rescued from poachers and snares in the
northern jungles. There will be
opportunity for you to swim in one of the
pools below the falls or just relax and enjoy
the cooler air and shady trees.

Every morning at sunrise the monks
and novices leave their temples and walk
through the town accepting alms from the
local townsfolk; a way for people to gain
merit and for the monastic community to
maintain contact with their community.
Luang Prabang has approximately
1,500 monks and novices. The local
population place sticky rice and other
foods in their alms bowls before they
return to their temples with the collected
food for breakfast. This event happens
daily between 5.30 and 6.00am in different
locations throughout the town.
Though the major procession along the
town’s main street attracts more crowds
and monks, we prefer the quieter area in
front of the hotel reception. A great
spiritual experience to take part in.

A guided exploration of the Luang
Prabang Old Town.
The tour will start from the hotel with
the first stop at Mount Phousi , on the
right side of the main walking street. A
climb up 328 steps will take you to the
summit of the hill, overlooking the entire
peninsula and surrounding countryside.
The temple at the summit is Vat Chom Si,
and is one of the tourist highlights of
Luang Prabang.
Just opposite of Mount Phousi is the
Royal Palace (National Museum), then
the walk continues along the main street
to visit Vat Mai, Vat Saen, and finally Vat
Xieng Thong, the most famous and
beautiful temple in the old town, dating
back to the 16th century. After visiting
Vat Xieng Thong transfers back to the
hotel will be organized.
