Olbrich Botanical Gardens

At Olbrich, take in 14 outdoor gardens within the grounds, including the Rose Garden, the Herb Garden, the Meadow Garden and Serenity Garden. The Thai Pavilion and Garden is one of just four such pavilions to exist outside of Thailand. It contains gold-leaf etchings and, spanning 40 feet long, it was assembled with no nails or screws. Enjoy the Bolz Conservatory, an indoor tropical paradise featuring exotic plants, flowers, birds and fish. Free tram rides are available for guests who would like a guided, non-walking tour. The Ugly Apple Cafe

In August of 2016, chef Laurel Burleson launched the Ugly Apple Food Cart. She has been cooking in professional kitchens since high school and has a degree in hospitality management. After cooking for several years around Chicago and Madison, she saw how much was going to waste of this fantastic Midwestern produce. She envisioned owning a cafe that focused on delicious local produce.
Hence, the Ugly Apple was born.
Like the story of the Ugly Duckling, the Ugly Apple might not be bought at market but can still make a beautiful fritter.
