長さ330メートルのグレードII指定建造物のこの高架橋は、2000年の歴史に囲まれたマンチェスターで最も古い地域であるキャッスルフィールドにあります。この高架橋は、象徴的なブラックプールタワーの開発に携わったエンジニアであるヒーナンとフルードによって1892年に建設されました。1969年まで、マンチェスター中央駅とグレート・ノーザン・ウェアハウスへの旅客列車や貨物列車の往来に使われていました。
鉄道が閉鎖された後も、キャッスルフィールド高架橋は使用されていませんでしたが、国道によって定期的に管理されていました。現在では、マンチェスターの過去、現在、未来における役割を称え、2022年にオープンした「天空の庭園」へと変貌を遂げ、街の中心地としての地位を取り戻しました。

Who doesn’t enjoy traveling, movies, music, games, and room escape challenges? We figured if we’d have fun building and testing these Tourist Scavenger Hunts, you would also enjoy doing them. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout.
Simple And Fun
Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.

Our initiatives focus on minimising waste, conserving energy and embracing digital solutions. Plastic water bottles are eliminated in favour of large-format dispensers. Reduced HVAC and lighting policies conserve energy during low or no occupancy periods. Digital or reusable signage cuts back on waste, and we also remove single-use items such as notepads, pens and coasters from meeting spaces.
