Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era. Liberated from the confines of a single location, Covert Cocktail Club now brings the speakeasy right to your door—be it at your home, office, bar mitzvah, dinner party, bachelor/ette party or anywhere you choose!

Our company was founded in 2008 by Alana Hoye Barnaba. Originally from upstate New York, Alana moved to New York City and immediately began her love affair with its food, history, and culture. Some of her first experiences with the city’s culinary adventures were fresh dumplings and homemade mozzarella — foods included on the signature tour today. Soon after, Alana started Ahoy New York Tours & Tasting and has been sharing her love for the passion, culture, and history of the city through food tours of New York neighborhoods. Ahoy New York Tours and Tasting’s goal with each tour is for customers to leave not only with the knowledge of the area and full of delicious food but also an experience to tell friends and family about long after the tour is complete

With four modern executive boardrooms offering the latest audio and video conferencing technology for meetings, presentations or executive retreats, Hotel 48LEX New York welcomes meetings from 8 to 15 people. Boardrooms feature views of Lexington Avenue; Herman Miller Chairs; high-def flat panel TVs; wireless multimedia system for lights and drapes; iPod connections individual climate controls; and same-floor access to the private Alcove and The Lounge for relaxation and throughout the day. Catering options are available at Hotel 48LEX New York. In addition to catered options, each executive boardroom is stocked with the same locally-sourced delights featured in the guest room butler pantry.
