ホテルモントレグループは、「木の都」仙台に「ホテルモンテエルマーナ」という新しいホテルをオープンしました。モントレーはキングスマウンテンにちなんで名付けられたため、スペイン語で「姉妹」を意味する名前ですが、プリンセス・マウンテンを意味する場合もあります。中世には珍しいスペイン遠征に出資した武士・伊達政宗が、仙台市を創設した武士・伊達政宗がスペインへの遠征に出資したことで、スペインとのつながりが特に顕著です。このスペインと仙台の関係は、ホテルのデザインにも反映されています。ホテルには275室の客室と会議室があり、ビジネスにもレジャーにも最適です。
