Welkom bij Traquair, het oudste bewoonde huis van Schotland. Traquair werd bezocht door 27 Schotse koningen en koninginnen en dateert uit 1107 en wordt sinds 1491 bewoond door de familie Stuart.
Traquair was oorspronkelijk een koninklijk jachthuis, maar was gastheer voor Mary Queen of Scots en later als trouwe katholieken steunden ze de Jacobitische zaak zonder de kosten te tellen.
Vandaag verwelkomen we bezoekers van over de hele wereld. Geniet van de bijzondere geschiedenis van dit woonhuis. Bezoek het huis, het terrein, het doolhof, de ambachtelijke ateliers, het Garden Cafe en de wereldberoemde Traquair House Brewery in een van de vleugels van het huis en proef de bieren in onze brouwerijwinkel en museum.

Welkom bij Floors Castle, het middelpunt van het prachtige landgoed Roxburghe sinds het meer dan 300 jaar geleden werd gebouwd voor mijn voorvader, de 1e hertog van Roxburghe.
Het kasteel is nog steeds een geliefd huis voor mijn familie en mij, en het is voor bezoekers mogelijk om de evolutie van Floors te zien door de veranderingen die opeenvolgende generaties aan het kasteel en de tuinen hebben aangebracht. De tentoonstelling ter gelegenheid van het 300-jarig bestaan van vorig jaar is nog steeds te zien in het kasteel, en er zijn tal van spannende evenementen en activiteiten gepland voor een druk en plezierig jaar.
Op korte loopafstand van het kasteel vindt u de spectaculaire Victoriaanse ommuurde tuinen met kassen, kruidachtige borders en een formele Millennium Garden. Er zijn ook bewegwijzerde wandelingen door het bos en langs de rivier om te verkennen, en er is een fietspad dat geschikt is voor het hele gezin. Floors heeft zoveel te ontdekken.

At Husk, there are some rules about what can go on the plate. If it doesn’t come from the South, it’s not coming through the door. The resulting cuisine is not about rediscovering Southern cooking, but rather exploring the reality of Southern food. Seed-saving, heirloom husbandry, in-house pickling and charcuterie programs by Executive Chef Ben Norton and his culinary team are the basis of Husk’s cuisine.
Husk Nashville, located at 37 Rutledge Street, was constructed into the side of a hill between 1879 and 1882 by Dr. John Bunyan Stephens. Its storied history includes serving as Mayor Richard Houston Dudley’s home, where he lived when elected in 1897. The area was settled by the Rutledge and Middleton families of Charleston who were descendants of two of the original South Carolina signers of the Declaration of Independence. Mayor Dudley added the Carriage House located on property in 1890–which will serve as a space to satisfy the restaurant’s culinary whims and host private/special events. The design of the Husk’s interior spaces enhances the building’s roots while demonstrating a sense of Southern style, modernity, energy, and cosmopolitan flair.

we explore as many different options as we can to increase the sustainability of the resort, from wooden key card holders and wooden door hangers in our rooms division to re-usable drink ware and mitts in our spa. Re-fillable toiletries are placed in our bedrooms to reduce the number of single use plastics and where this is not possible, we use suppliers that take back and recycle the plastics.
