De zandbanken langs de Takuapa-rivier ondersteunen ook een populatie van de nationaal afnemende rivier de Lapwing.

Als u Khao Lak bezoekt en op zoek bent naar een goede golfbaan, raden we u aan een dagje te gaan golfen op de Thap Lamu golfbaan. Golfen is hier een heel unieke ervaring in dit tropische land. Golfers reizen van ver weg om op deze baan te spelen vanwege de prachtige locatie in Khao Lak naast de Andamanse Zee en omringd door het Khao Lak-gebergte. Deze golfbaan wordt beschouwd als een van de mooiste banen van Thailand. We zijn dagelijks geopend van 6.30 tot 18.00 uur en regelen graag de starttijden en eventuele speciale wensen voor onze gasten tijdens hun verblijf in Khao Lak.
