The LEED Platinum-certified Luskin Conference Center features 25,000 square feet of multi-purpose meeting space, 254 beautifully-appointed guest rooms, a 160-seat restaurant and amenities to make guest experiences productive and memorable.
It's location on the west side of Los Angeles gives guests easy access to L.A. cultural, entertainment, and sports venues; southern California's beaches and amusement parks; and nearby areas of interest such as Beverly Hills and Hollywood.

This is one place in L.A. where you needn’t worry about parking. Guests of Plateia are welcome to use the ample parking structure at the UCLA Meyer & Renee Luskin Conference Center. Rates are reasonable, too, with 1-2 hours charged at just $4 to $6 dollars.

VISITING SANTA MONICA
More than 7 million visitors a year come to Santa Monica because it is a renowned beach city (one of National Geographic’s top ten) and close to other Los Angeles attractions. Santa Monica Beach averages 280 days of sunshine a year and offers some of the best sunsets on the West Coast. Santa Monica is also known as a walkable and bike-friendly town, so it’s easy to get around and experience the haven of shops, restaurants, attractions like the Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade, and more.
THINGS TO DO IN SANTA MONICA
The beaches of Santa Monica attract all types of visitors, and on a normal day at the beach, you will likely see families playing on the sand next to mats laid out for a yoga fitness class. Also, don’t be surprised to see a celebrity out and about shopping or grabbing coffee at one of the local shops.
When you think of things to do in LA, do not forget Santa Monica. Make sure to visit the Santa Monica Pier, where a variety of shops, restaurants, and carnival attractions (including a solar-powered Ferris wheel) atop a historical wooden wharf. By night, the Third Street Promenade is the place to be, bustling with activity from moviegoers, party animals, and talented street performers.
Santa Monica is also known as a walkable town, though many choose to strap on wheels or pedal their way around the 22 miles of bike path’s the area has to offer.
Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA (CAP)
Featuring an astounding array of performers, the Center for the Art of Performance (CAP) showcases dance, music, spoken word and theater, as well as the emerging digital, collaborative and cross-art platforms inspired by today's leading artists and creators. While performances may occur at several campus locations, CAP's primary venue is UCLA's iconic Royce Hall.
One of the most distinguished outdoor sculpture collections in the country, the tranquil Franklin D. Murphy Sculpture Garden features 70 sculptures and spans more than five acres on the UCLA campus.
The Geffen Playhouse is a Los Angeles treasure and presents a body of work that garners national recognition each year. The Geffen is noted for its welcoming intimate venues and celebrated for its commitment to the development of new theatrical works.
The popular Hammer Museum is a unique, cutting-edge arts institution that connects the classics and the contemporary through its varied collections, wide-ranging exhibitions and thought-provoking programs. Check for weekly free admission day.
For an up close look at UCLA’s team trophies and other memorabilia, visit the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in the J.D. Morgan Center. For tickets to attend one of UCLA's more than 20 NCAA seasonal sporting events, visit the Central Ticket Office in the James West Center. Both buildings are located in the plaza just east of the UCLA Luskin Conference Center.
Staffed by friendly and knowledgeable students, browse the UCLA Store’s huge inventory of UCLA-themed memorabilia, gifts, and clothing, as well as computer accessories and supplies. The UCLA Store is conveniently located in Ackerman Union, adjacent to the UCLA Luskin Conference Center.
Westwood Village is UCLA’s unofficial “college town.” This local shopping and dining district, directly south of campus, is only a ten-minute walk from the Luskin Conference Center and just five minutes by car. The J. Paul Getty Museum's mission is to inspire curiosity about, and enjoyment and understanding of the visual arts.
