The Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County convention center is undergoing a $1.3 billion expansion.
Phase 1 of the newly expanded West convention center building is now complete, and we are open for business. Boasting a total of 800,000 sq ft of space including 350,000 sq ft of exhibit space our venue offers endless possibilities to meeting planners.
Phase 2 of the East convention center building expansion is well under way and will encompass a total of 1.2 million sq ft of space, a 65K sq ft waterfront ballroom, 6-acre outdoor tropical plaza, an 801 room OMNI headquarter hotel and a water taxi and yacht charter dock. Phase 2 slated for completion in 2025.

The Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center has been awarded Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED®) for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance Gold certification from The Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI), an arm of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
