Accredited by the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI), this blue-water paradise lets novices and experts alike plumb the turquoise depths for a chance to experience some of the best dive sites in the world.
The PADI Dive Centre at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort is just feet away from the crystal waters of Anse des Pitons and the protected underwater park and National Marine Reserve that stretch along the base of the Petit Piton to the north and the Gros Piton to the south.
With an abundance and diversity of marine life, divers from beginners to advanced will find plenty to fill their log books – from easy reef dives to challenging drift dives and drop-offs.
Dive Sugar Beach offers divers the chance to explore the underwater menagerie in a range of different dive packages. There are 11 exciting dives, including “Superman’s Flight”, a well-known drift dive around the base of Petit Piton.

The well-known Sulphur Springs Park in Soufriere, Saint Lucia is the hottest and most active geothermal area in the Lesser Antilles. The Sulphur Springs Park is approximately 45 hectares and is billed as the Caribbean’s only drive-in volcano. A walk through the crater takes you past pools and hot springs bubbling and belching with sulfur-laden steam. Just outside the Springs, you can bathe in the warm sulfuric pools, reputed for its soothing effects. One of the most popular attractions in St Lucia, this is the world's only drive-in volcano, replete with bubbling mud pools and plenty of sulfurous steam.

If you do nothing else while you are at Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort, you should tackle the Gros Piton. This is more like a rigorous session on a stair-master than a "climb". The views from the top are amazing and you must get a photo of yourself having a Piton Beer (the local lager) on top of the Piton. Nothing is more satisfying than sitting back in your sun lounge poolside and being able to say, “I climbed that.”

Pigeon Island is a 44-acre (180,000 m2) islet located in Gros Islet in the northern region of Saint Lucia. Once isolated from the country in the Caribbean Sea, the island was artificially joined to the western coast of mainland in 1972 by a man-made causeway built from dirt excavated to form the Rodney Bay Marina. Composed of two peaks the island is a historic site with numerous forts such as an 18th-century British fort and Fort Rodney both used by the British to spy on French Ships from neighbouring Martinique. In 1979 it was named a national park and again in 1992 it became a national landmark under the control of the Saint Lucia National Trust (SLNT).

Enjoy one of the Sugar Beach's organized hikes to the bustling Soufriere market where local women in their brightly colored head scarves shout their greetings back and forth in Creole, children play with their home made toys, and the fishermen mend their nets at the water’s edge. Seasonal fruits, freshly caught fish, a myriad of fragrant herbs and spices, and locally made carvings and crafts are on display, many of which make excellent souvenirs and unique gifts.

Zip line canopy adventure, Errard Estate, Dennery on the island’s east coast. This is just pure fun and fantastic for families with pre-teen and teenaged children. You are put in a harness then attached to cables that run through the tree tops. You feel as though you are literally flying through the trees. There are suspension bridges and a challenge course for the more adventurous. There is also a beautiful waterfall with a large natural pool beneath for a post-zipline splash. The zipline tour can be organized through the Concierge
