Hotel du Vin & Bistro York is located in the area known as The Mount, close to historic York’s city centre, Hotel du Vin York is a unique luxury boutique hotel set in a beautiful grade II listed building that dates back to the early 19th century. Formerly a private home, orphanage and most recently the Shepherd Homes building, the hotel houses 44 stylish bedrooms and exquisite suites complemented by pristine beds luxurious Egyptian linen. The hotel is also home to our trademark Hotel Du Vin Bistro serving a sumptuous menu of modern European cuisine, a generously stocked Bar and private dining rooms, along with a courtyard for alfresco dining during the warmer months.

Everything in JORVIK Viking Centre is based on archaeological evidence unearthed during the Coppergate excavations undertaken between 1979–81 by York Archaeological Trust. In total, an incredible 40,000 objects were uncovered by excavating 36,000 layers and sieving 8 tonnes of soil!
