Hotel Kalevala is in a unique setting where there is space to relax and unwind in an ideal retreat. What more inspiring environment could there be than our breathtaking lake view offering natures adventures on land or water, summer or winter. This select hotel, whose building mirrors the nature that surrounds it, nestles on the shores of Lake Lammasjarvi in Eastern Finland close to the Russian border. We offer 47 rooms, 44 double rooms and 3 suites. The dining room can seat up to 200 people and is adjoined by a covered terrace for special meals and functions. For groups there is the Kalevala buffet with its Russian flavour or a historic banquet for those who wish to experience traditional Finnish food in the old fashioned way. From small intimate meetings to larger corporate or conference events, training courses, team building or annual general meetings, we have 3 meeting rooms available for 25 – 100 guests.
