W Punta Cana, Adult All-Inclusive

Zanobia Arquitectura, a distinguished firm renowned for innovative designs, has been awarded a Luxury Lifestyle Awards for Best Luxury Hotel Architecture in 2024. This honor recognizes their exceptional work on the “W Punta Cana” project in Uvero Alto, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Led by architect and founder Giuseppe Violante, Zanobia Arquitectura consistently delivers creative, realistic results with a strong commitment to sustainability. This project began in September 2019 and is now 80% complete. The design integrates impeccably with the natural surroundings, minimizing visual impact and emphasizing the environment. Inspired by a hand extending towards the beach, the hotel’s layout embraces the existing vegetation with elevated walkways and staggered buildings, allowing flora and fauna to coexist with guests. Positioned at +5.50 meters above sea level, the hotel acts as a natural barrier, enhancing exclusivity. The 60,000 m² area maintains minimal visual impact, while the use of local vegetation ensures low water consumption. The design leverages the Dominican Republic’s climate with patios and covered outdoor spaces for optimal comfort. An innovative basement design includes over 1 km of underground pathways for efficient service operations and electric vehicle use. Interior spaces benefit from natural ventilation and lighting, reducing energy consumption. Facilities in the basement optimize cold storage and energy efficiency. The hotel features photovoltaic solar capture on non-trafficable flat roofs, high-quality room carpentry for energy savings, and roof insulation with polymeric material and local gravel. Zanobia Arquitectura’s commitment to sustainability is also evident in their water conservation efforts and onsite vegetable garden embodying the KM0 philosophy. With projects in Spain and the Dominican Republic, Zanobia Arquitectura continues to set benchmarks in environmentally conscious and visually stunning architecture.
