Cashman Field, a 9,334 permanent seat stadium, serves as the home field for the Las Vegas franchise for the past 28 seasons (1983-2010). The facility saw its first professional baseball game on April 1, 1983, when the San Diego Padres faced the Seattle Mariners in front of 13,878 fans. The Cashman Field attendance record was set on April 3, 1993, before a crowd of 15,025, between the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs. Las Vegas hosted the Triple-A All-Star Game on July 11, 1990. Sam Boyd Stadium, also known by its former name, the Silver Bowl, is a football stadium located in Whitney, Nevada, an unincorporated community in the Las Vegas Valley. The stadium is named after Sam Boyd, a major figure in the hotel/casino industry in Las Vegas. The stadium consists of an uncovered horseshoe-shaped single-decked bowl.
