Effingham Golf club is a traditional member’s club – run by the members, for the members. But an essential part of its tradition is to extend a warm welcome to guests and visitors alike, both to the course and to its elegant, Georgian clubhouse. The Club offers a host of function packages to suit every occasion, taste, style and budget, from silver service to buffet to informal family dining. The oak-panelled dining room can accommodate up to 90 comfortably, while smaller parties of up to 18 would want to choose the intimate Armada Room, with its splendid carved oak fireplace dated 1591 and believed to have originated from one of Lord Howard of Effingham’s fleet which fought off the Spanish Armada.
