Ubicado en el corazón de San Isidro, es uno de los más emblemáticos y hermosos de este distrito. Este hermoso parque está rodeado de olivos, que suman más de 1500 en total. Hoy en día se ha convertido en el lugar de encuentro de familias, amigos, parejas e incluso para los nuevos maridos que se prestan para montar después del matrimonio. El parque cuenta con amplias áreas verdes, una piscina y un pequeño lago. Uno de los principales hoteles de la ciudad, así como oficinas, comercios, importantes establecimientos y avenidas. Fue declarada monumento nacional en diciembre de 1959 por el entonces existente Instituto Nacional de Cultura (INC). Esta distinción se debió a la conservación de sus olivos, su edad y el desarrollo especial del bosque.
El Parque cuenta con un Observatorio de Aves, ya que en él se anidan los microsistemas más variados de aves de Lima: el Rabiblanca, el Cuculi, la Tortolita de pico amarillo, el Turtupilín, el ranúnculo y el violinista; en otras especies que habitan el Parque están los modernos gorriones Silbadora, Eur y American.

La Huaca Huallamarca es el monumento arqueológico más importante de San Isidro. El nombre de Huallamarca deriva de la palabra quechua «marca» que significa comarca o pueblo y Hualla era el nombre de una tribu.
Cuando los incas en el siglo XV llegaron a la costa, encontraron el valle de Lima poblado por varias tribus, una de estas tribus eran los Huallas. Los Huallas usaron el lugar para enterrar a sus muertos, entonces, probablemente, las tierras de cultivo deberían ser muy útiles para otros fines que no eran agrícolas.
Los testimonios encontrados en las tumbas de la Huaca Huallamarca comprenden un período de tiempo que va desde el siglo VI d.C. hasta el advenimiento de los incas en el siglo XV.
