Rules sigue floreciendo, el restaurante más antiguo de Londres y uno de los más famosos del mundo. Rules sirve la comida tradicional de este país en su máxima expresión y a precios asequibles. Está especializado en cocina de caza clásica, ostras, tartas y postres. Rules tiene la suerte de ser propietario de una finca en los Altos Peninos, «el último desierto de Inglaterra», que capacita al personal en gestión del juego, ejerce sus propios controles de calidad y determina cómo se trata el juego. En 1984, la hija de Tom Bell vendió Rules a John Mayhew, el actual propietario. En la actualidad, Rules tiene capacidad para unas 90 personas y emplea a 90 personas.
