VILLA CASTAGNOLA Het Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola is een pand met een enorme charme, gelegen in een subtropisch privépark aan de oevers van het meer van Lugano. De huidige Villa Castagnola combineert de pracht van een Grand Hotel met de warmte en het comfort van een privéwoning. De villa wordt bewonderd om zijn elegante sfeer en is de ideale omgeving voor zaken, op elk moment van het jaar. 74 kamers, waaronder 32 suites en junior suites, waar tijdloze elegantie wordt afgewisseld met modern comfort. De kamers, junior suites en suites hebben een prachtig uitzicht op het park en/of het meer, een balkon, terras of loggia. CONFERENTIE-/VERGADERZALEN Elk van de 10 vergaderzalen, met een capaciteit tot 120 personen, heeft een elegante inrichting, originele kunstwerken en uitzicht op het park. Alle kamers kijken direct uit op het park en hebben grote ramen en zijn uitgerust met de hoogtechnologische audio/visuele apparatuur. Deze omvatten bijvoorbeeld videoconferenties, enz... TEAMBUILDING EN INCENTIVES In huis en in de omgeving is een breed scala aan activiteiten beschikbaar om de teamgeest te versterken. Enkele interessante activiteiten zijn: regionale wijnproeverijen, lessen cocktails maken, kooklessen met onze chef-koks of privéboottochten, casino-avond, privémuseumbezoeken. GASTRONOMIE Het nieuwe restaurant „La Rucola”, geboren onder het motto „Fresh & Easy Dining”, biedt lichte en heerlijke maaltijden in een gezellige en informele setting. In een elegante en verfijnde omgeving biedt onze chef-kok Alessandro Boleso in Le Relais Restaurant (14 GaultMillau-punten) een lichte en innovatieve mediterrane keuken — een onweerstaanbare balans tussen kleuren en delicate smaken. Het bekroonde restaurant Galleria Arté al Lago is de trots van het Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola. Een uniek restaurant in Ticino in een kunstgalerie, met uitzicht op het water van het Luganomeer, met een adembenemend uitzicht. Het heeft 16 Gault&Millau-punten en is het enige restaurant met een Michelin-ster in Lugano. De weelderige kamers bieden onderdak aan kunstwerken van verschillende kunstenaars van internationale faam, met thematentoonstellingen die twee keer per jaar veranderen, waardoor een exclusieve setting ontstaat. Chef-kok Frank Oerthle, voor Ticino uitgeroepen tot 'nieuwkomer chef van het jaar 2009', zit al sinds de opening in 2001 in het restaurant. Hij vertaalt zijn culinaire passie in een innovatieve en verleidelijke selectie gerechten, met kenmerkende menu's op basis van zee- en zoetwatervis. Een chef die graag in contact blijft met mensen; hij bereidt eenvoudige maar creatieve gerechten met passie en oog voor detail. Een echte culinaire kunstenaar, die zijn leven wijdt aan de passie van levensgenieters tot grote vreugde van zijn gasten. Het gastronomische aanbod omvat koffiepauzes, elegante cocktails, testmenu's, zakenlunches en diner. In de restaurants zijn privébanketfaciliteiten beschikbaar.
