Grand Hotel's 18 Hole Course "The Jewel"

0 mi. away
Awarded Editor’s Choice Best Grand Golf Hotel by Golf Digest, The Jewel is one of the most unique courses in Northern Michigan and the United States. With its unparalleled scenic beauty, lush landscaping, meticulously manicured tees, fairways and greens it is sure to be a Grand golf experience. The Grand nine located across from the hotel with views of the Straits of Mackinac was built in 1901 and redesigned in 1987 by golf course architect Jerry Matthews. In 1994, he also designed the Woods nine located in the interior of Mackinac Island with views of the Mackinac Bridge and the Upper Peninsula. Together they comprise The Jewel, the resort’s 18-hole golf course, separated by a mile and a half and the only course with horse-drawn carriage rides between nines in the country. The leisurely 15-minute ride includes parts of the island unseen by many visitors.

Grand Hotel is ideally located on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan where cars are not allowed and bikes and horse-drawn carriages are the favored modes of transportation. Grand Hotel offers outstanding accommodations where no two guest rooms are alike and provides a wide range of rooms, including one and two-bedroom suite options. With more than 22,000 square feet of meeting space available and a variety of indoor and outdoor meeting locations, we proudly host many meetings of all sizes. Interior meeting spaces are located under one roof making it very convenient for guests.
