PLITVICE – “THE KINGDOM OF LAKES” When gazing out from the lookouts on Lošinj, fixated on the blue contours of the Velebit coastal mountain range, it is difficult to imagine that hidden right behind it is an untouched world with mystical forests, canyons, and subterranean rivers. Here lies the magically beautiful Plitvice Lakes, and yes, there are 16 of them. At Plitvice Lakes, crystalline water flows from one turquoise lake to another, over distinctive travertine barriers that create waterfalls up to 100 metres wide. The surging waterfalls are awe-inspiring, and will especially take your breath away under the 76-meter-high Veliki Slap (“Big Waterfall”). Whether you wander along the wooden footpaths beside the waterfalls or cruise the Kozjak Lake, these are genuinely delightful experiences for any true nature lover and every romantic at heart.

The Museum of Apoxyomenos is a unique contemporary museum dedicated to a majestic work of art – a sizeable ancient bronze statue of a young athlete, Apoxyomenos. Apoxyomenos was created between the 2nd and 1st century B.C. and was modelled after an older, classic prototype from the works of the renowned Greek sculptor Lysippos. The statue finished in the sea surrounding Lošinj about 1,800 years ago and was extracted in 1999. Well-preserved and fascinatingly beautiful, the Lošinj Apoxyomenos is one of the most important artefacts of the world’s ancient heritage.

RATE TYPES AND THE CANCELLATION POLICY Value Rate This reservation requires a credit card deposit of the total amount of the reservation, which will be charged to your card. The card will be charged after you complete the booking process. In case of a failed payment, the reservation will be canceled with prior notice. The reservation cannot be canceled without penalty.
