About us
La Locanda del Pontefice" is a renowned luxury Country House with the distinction of being classified as a place of "Excellence". At just 7 km from Ciampino Airport, it is practical and convenient for the traveling guest as well as accessible to Rome's center at a mere distance of 22 km. From atop the hills of this naturalistic park of the "Castelli Romani," that is, the Roman Castles, the dominant feature is CastelGandolfo's Lake and is matched only by the breathtaking panorama of the Roman countryside which, itself, extends to the Tirreno Sea. The hotel offers 22 rooms among which are Deluxe, Junior Suites and Suites - each with its own unique charm. The plenary room, well equipped with the ultimate technology, with a very comfortable desk and podium can host up to 99 seated people.

We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels.
When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing.
