Dar Housnia is an elegant guesthouse, unique in Marrakesh, comprising a Riad and a Douiria which articulate around an inside terrace with a lovely swimming pool. After the bustle and excitement of the medina follows the quietness and sober beauty of the guesthouse with its rooms, terraces, patios and water murmurs. One feels sensually well in Dar Housnia, the “house of serenity”. The douiria is really a small private palace for four persons. Immediately adjacent to the riad, it offers a private two rooms apartment with bathtubs, a large sitting-room with a b’hou and an open hearth, and a terrace garden overlooking the swimming pool. Light is brought by a douaya, which is open to the skies during the summer. The four junior suites of the riad and the two rooms of the douiria have each their own personality and specific charm, created by the comfort of their design, the refinement of the house linen and the elegance of their decor.
