The NH Centro Historico is located in the heart of the city, just a few steps from the historical Plaza de la Constitucion, better known as “Zocalo”, and the magnificent historical Metropolitan Cathedral, National Library and Museum. Our guests will enjoy the historical buildings and the most important and symbolic sites of Mexico. The NH Centro Historico offers the ideal starting point to visit the most important symbolic buildings and monuments. There are 11 multi-purpose rooms with a capacity for up to 200 people ideal to host special events. Hotel features 105 comfortable guest rooms for accommodation.

This building was designed to exhibit the archaeological findings of the zone that used to be the Main Temple of the Mexica people. The collection shows the political, military and aesthetic relevance of the city that dominated Mesoamerica before the Spaniards arrived. The Coyolxauhqui monolith, enabled the archaeologists to find the exact place where the pyramid stood, since the Huitzilopochtli myth tells that he threw his sister down from Coatepec mount.

The Zócalo is the central plaza of the City and often referred to as the central plaza of the entire country. As such, it is the frequent site of many of the important events in the city. The Zócalo is bordered on the north by the Metropolitan Cathedral of Mexico City. To the east is the National Palace, seat of the Federal Government. To the south is the Antiguo Palacio del Ayuntamiento, seat of the city government, and it’s twin. To the west you will find private buildings, among them the Mercaderes building and the original Monte de Piedad. Along this side you’ll find a few restaurants and terraces with spectacular views of the center city.
