Das Royal-Continental Hotel in Neapel, eine der Säulen der Royal Group Hotels & Resorts, genießt die Lichter und Farben eines der schönsten Golfe der Welt und ist der ideale Ort für die Organisation von Tagungen, Konferenzen und Veranstaltungen. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer vor der Insel Castel dell'Ovo e Capri. Das Hotel verfügt über 400 Zimmer und 23 Tagungsräume mit einem Auditorium für bis zu 530 Personen. Der Gemeinschaftsbereich, die Zimmer und der new meting room wurden 2006 komplett renoviert. Die Gegend ist die berühmteste der Stadt Neapel, neben dem Hotel gibt es viele Pizzerien und typische Restaurants. Es ist möglich, die Piazza del Plebiscito (den Hauptplatz) in 5 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Hotel liegt 9,5 km vom internationalen Flughafen Capodichino, 3 km vom Hafen und 3,5 km vom Hauptbahnhof Garibaldi entfernt.

Pompeji ist eine zerstörte und teilweise verschüttete römische Stadtstadt in der Nähe des modernen Neapel in der italienischen Region Kampanien, auf dem Gebiet der Gemeinde Pompeji. Zusammen mit Herculaneum, seiner Partnerstadt, wurde Pompeji bei einem langen katastrophalen Ausbruch des Vulkans Vesuv, der sich über zwei Tage erstreckte, im Jahr 79 n. Chr. zerstört und vollständig begraben. Der Ausbruch verschüttete Pompeji unter 4 bis 6 Metern Asche und Bimsstein. Er war fast 1.600 Jahre lang verschollen, bevor er um 1592 zufällig wiederentdeckt wurde. Seitdem haben seine Ausgrabungen einen außergewöhnlich detaillierten Einblick in das Leben einer Stadt auf dem Höhepunkt des Römischen Reiches gegeben. Heute ist dieses UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe mit rund 2.500.000 Besuchern pro Jahr eine der beliebtesten Touristenattraktionen Italiens.
