About us

Our award winning Cambria Hotel New Orleans Downtown Warehouse District is nestled into the Warehouse/Arts District on a small footprint, with 162 beautifully appointed guestrooms. Named in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2025 Best Hotels in Louisiana list. This boutique hotel offers a superior location for guests to enjoy all that New Orleans has to offer. Just four blocks from the New Orleans Morial Convention Center, the Mississippi River and the historic French Quarter, the hotel is designed to fit into its historic context. It is a simple palette of bricks, steel and glass, with a contemporary design, giving the building a timeless but distinctive appearance. Design elements of the boutique hotel are modern, playful and uniquely local, including a comfortable lobby lounge, with an accent wall featuring ceiling medallions reminiscent of grand, old New Orleans homes. Pressed tin panels are used throughout the public spaces as ceiling and elevator finishes and the walls on the ground level are lined with reclaimed antique bricks. A dramatic art installation reminds guests that they are in the birthplace of jazz. Local artists are represented throughout the building, with a gallery of original local art available for sale.

Constructed in Moss Point, Mississippi, the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen took her maiden voyage on October 1, 1983. She is an authentic paddlewheeler powered by a 24-foot diameter paddlewheel and the most modern, fuel efficient GE diesel-electric system ever installed in a boat of this class. Even though the Creole Queen would have been right at home among the steamboats of 1850's New Orleans, passengers of that era could never have conceived of a paddlewheeler with her luxury, comfort and safety. Ninety tons of air conditioning and heating keep the interior spaces pleasant all year round. Luxurious private rooms, stereo music and sound systems, modern restrooms and handicapped accessible facilities all combine to make the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen a true floating palace.
