The Apollo Theater is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This Harlem landmark and its surrounding neighborhood offer your guests a cultural milieu that is unique in America and the world, a community that vibrates with the energy of many cultures. The Apollo’s front door opens on Harlem’s busiest commercial street, giving it unbeatable visibility as well as fast access to LaGuardia Airport and many major subway and bus lines. The Apollo’s brilliant marquee is a familiar sight up and down 125th Street – as is the sight of the milling crowds at the box office window. A living monument to the Harlem Renaissance, the Apollo boasts a Belle-Époque crimson décor, spacious public areas, office support facilities, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment in its two theaters – the 1500-seat Mainstage and the intimate 150-seat Soundstage.
