Once upon a time in 2016, Matt Levy, founder of Covert Cocktail Club, hosted a secret speakeasy as an intimate place for strangers to gather in his home. The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”.
A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.

Standard capacity is 80 seated or 500 standing, with configurations for 1,000+ guests available on request — the largest event footprint in our portfolio by a wide margin.
Getting there is a short ferry ride from Lower Manhattan or Brooklyn, and that's part of the appeal: it's a genuinely unexpected setting for a corporate event, and one that tends to make an impression. Planners book it for summer company events and all-hands, company picnics and field days, client entertaining, product launches and brand activations, conference receptions, team offsites, and large-scale celebrations — the kind of event where getting people out of the office is the whole point.
