See the otters entertain in their one-of-a-kind stomping ground, complete with plant life, rockwork and waterfall. Now you can enjoy the most unique experience of its kind in the region – Newport Aquarium’s new Shark Central exhibit. It’s home to a field research facility and dozens of sharks you can actually touch. You’ll experience the most amazing collection of aquatic creatures around including extremely rare sharks like Sweet Pea and Scooter – the stars of the only Shark Ray breeding program in the world. You can go behind the scenes to our Penguin Encounter where you can touch our playful African Blackfooted penguins. You can even pet sharks, hand-feed free-flying Lorikeets and enjoy craft-making with your kids on select Saturdays.
