Op 35 minuten van Lugano en 50 minuten van Milaan, is het gemakkelijk te bereiken met de auto via de handige snelwegen in de regio of de frequente treindiensten op de twee stations van de stad. Vanaf juni '18 rijdt er een rechtstreekse trein tussen de internationale luchthaven Malpensa en Como. Het centraal station ligt op slechts iets meer dan 1 km van Hilton Lake Como. Het stadscentrum ligt op loopafstand dankzij een mooie promenade aan het meer die in 10-15 minuten naar het hart van Como leidt. Het meer ligt aan de overkant van de straat, vlakbij de hoofdingang van het park van Villa Olmo, een van de mooiste historische bezienswaardigheden van Como.
