De La Locanda di Gino sinds 2009: de familie Allega realiseerde een klein hotel in een antiek herenhuis in het oude centrum van Sulmona. De kamers zijn eenvoudig en comfortabel, maar ze zijn zowel gepolijst als elegant. Het hotel ligt op een benijdenswaardige locatie, zowel omdat het dicht bij de meest interessante toeristische attracties ligt als omdat u vanuit de ramen de meest tot de verbeelding sprekende aspecten van het „centro” kunt bewonderen. De ontspannende leeszaal is een elegante verrijking van het comfort van de kamers en biedt onze gasten de kans om een aangename vrije tijd te hebben na een bezoek aan het stadscentrum van Sulmona.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.

The only way to find out about it was via word of mouth. No address was given, the only clue being a sign placed in the window, “Cocktails Here”. A lot of people thought it was pretty cool, even before The New York Times wrote about it. But that was all pre-pandemic, and this is a new era.
