Deze pagode bevindt zich op het zuidelijkste puntje van Koh Samui. De gouden tint vormt een verbazingwekkend mooi contrast met de blauwe lucht erboven en de turkooizen zee daarachter. De ingang wordt bewaakt door twee gigantische krijgersbeelden met enorme zwaarden, kleurrijke kleding en afschrikwekkende gezichten. De Boeddha staat in de deuropening aan de achterkant van de beelden. Een geweldige fotomoment, waarbij absoluut niets je zicht belemmert.

Als je in het zuidoostelijke deel van het eiland bent, stop dan bij Hin Ta Hin Yai, een interessante rotsformatie die voorkomt in de lokale folklore. Het verhaal gaat dat een oud stel naar een nabijgelegen provincie zeilde om het huwelijk van hun zoon te regelen. Door een vreselijke storm stierven ze op zee en veranderden ze in rotsen als bewijs voor de ouders van de bruid van hun ware bedoelingen.
