Exeter Racecourse is de meest prestigieuze renbaan van het zuidwesten, hoog op de top van Haldon Hill, net buiten Exeter met een prachtig uitzicht op Dartmoor. Het is de hoogste renbaan van het land op 850 voet, de tweede langste met 3,2 km en is niet alleen beschreven als een van de mooiste banen, maar ook als een van de mooiste banen van het land. Paardenrennen werd hier 350 jaar geleden voor het eerst geregistreerd tijdens het bewind van Charles II en sindsdien is menig groot National Hunt-kampioen zijn carrière begonnen in Exeter, zoals Best Mate en Desert Orchid. De zakelijke gastvrijheid, het restaurant en de conferentiefaciliteiten bieden een breed scala aan kamers om deze historische locatie te ervaren.
