Deze landelijke herberg ligt op het platteland van Shropshire en is niets anders dan ontspannend. Alle klassieke ingrediënten zijn aanwezig: oude balken, knallende open haarden, een ongedwongen mix en match van grenen en eiken meubels, echt bier, Greg's met de hand gekozen 'rode pastorie' muren en lekker eten. Dat laatste is echt goed. Er zijn in totaal 9 slaapkamers, waaronder tweepersoonskamers, tweepersoonskamers en eenpersoonskamers. 7 zijn onlangs gerenoveerd tot een hoge standaard, waaronder gloednieuwe en-suites. De andere 2 kamers zijn gezellige bijgebouwen, gelegen in het aangrenzende gebouw waar respectievelijk 3 en 4 personen kunnen slapen. Bij maximale capaciteit bieden de kamers in totaal plaats aan 21 personen. Upstairs at The Bear is een unieke mix van historische sfeer en eigentijds gemak. Van intieme bijeenkomsten en zakelijke bijeenkomsten tot grote banketten en bruiloften.
