De Divan Cukurhan bevindt zich tegenover de hoofdingang van de citadel van Ankara, vlakbij de plek die vroeger bekend stond als de paardenmarkt, en aan de westkant van het huidige Çengelhan Rahmi M. Koç Museum. Onder de Ottomanen was de Han aangesloten bij de Sheikh ul-Islam (de belangrijkste religieuze ambtenaar in het Ottomaanse Rijk) Ankaravi Mehmed Emin Efendi Foundation.
