MUSEUM VAN DE REPUBLIEK DE TWEEDE GROTE NATIONALE VERGADERING VAN TURKIJE Het Republiekmuseum is gevestigd in het gebouw van de Tweede Grote Nationale Vergadering van Turkije. Het gebouw van de Tweede Grote Nationale Vergadering van Turkije werd in 1923 door architect Vedat Tek ontworpen als de Republikeinse Volksvergaderzaal. Toen de Eerste Grote Nationale Vergadering van Turkije echter ontoereikend werd, werd de functie van dit gebouw in opdracht van Atatürk gewijzigd en werd het ingericht als het Assemblegebouw en op 18 oktober 1924 in gebruik genomen. Het gebouw werd gebouwd in twee verdiepingen in de kelder met gevelstenen. De raambogen, porseleinen panelen op oppervlakken, brede dakranden en de met de hand gesneden houten plafonds met Ottomaanse en Seltsjoekse motieven weerspiegelen de architectuur van de „Republikeinse periode”.
