Laten we elkaar ontmoeten in A Room with a ZOO in Antwerpen! A Room with a ZOO (ArwaZ) maakt deel uit van het Elisabeth Center-complex en bevindt zich in de beroemde dierentuin van Antwerpen. Het ligt op slechts tien minuten lopen van het historische stadscentrum en naast het Centraal Station, een prachtige hogesnelheidstreinkathedraal. Nabijheid is belangrijk: u stapt gewoon rechtstreeks vanuit Londen uit de trein en een paar stappen later komt u in ons congrescentrum. Voor aankomsten van vluchten ligt de internationale luchthaven op slechts 30 minuten rijden. A Room with a ZOO is gunstig gelegen in het centrum van Europa en is uw perfecte vergaderbestemming! Het congrescentrum kan tot 2.700 deelnemers ontvangen en biedt meer dan 25.000 m² conferentieruimte (30 kamers), evenals een geweldige keuze aan zeer gewilde sociale activiteiten zoals dineren onder water of een wandeling door de slapende ZOO. A Room with a ZOO biedt je een ervaring buiten de ruimte. Het Koningin Elisabethauditorium met 1.880 zitplaatsen is de kers op de taart. Een van de eerste wetenschappelijke dierentuinen ter wereld De locatie is het enige congrescentrum ter wereld met een dierentuin op het terrein: een dierentuin met een eigen bekroond wetenschaps- en onderzoekscentrum, en beheerd volgens de hoogste normen van dierenwelzijn van EAZA en WAZA, de internationale verenigingen van dierentuinen die mede werden opgericht door de dierentuin van Antwerpen. Wetenschappelijk onderzoek zit in het DNA van de dierentuin. Wetenschap wordt beoefend en toegepast in de dierentuin van Antwerpen, maar ook in onderzoeksstations in het buitenland, in het laboratorium van de DIERENTUIN, onder ons toezicht aan universiteiten en vooral in het zoölogisch onderzoekscentrum „het Centre for Research and Conservation” (CRC). Sinds de officiële start in 2000 is dit onderzoekscentrum uitgegroeid tot een van de meest geavanceerde zoölogische onderzoekscentra ter wereld. De wetenschappers en experts van de dierentuin zijn leiders in hun vakgebied, zoals genetica, diergedrag, dierenwelzijn, diergeneeskunde en diermorfologie. Met deze expertise werken we samen in onderzoeksprojecten rond drie hoofdthema's: dierenwelzijn, natuurbehoud en basiszoölogie onderzoek.
