In 14 thematische zalen wordt u meegenomen op een reis van 60 tot 90 minuten en vertelt u het verhaal van onze Belgische chocolade. De tour begint in de cacaoplantages van de evenaar en volgt de cacaoboon naar's werelds grootste cacaoopslaghaven in Antwerpen. Een gigantische fantasiemachine laat zien hoe chocolade wordt gemaakt en waar de fluweelzachte smaak vandaan komt. Tijdens je rondleiding door het museum vind je chocoladetradities, geschiedenis, merken, producten en innovaties die zijn wereldwijde reputatie hebben opgebouwd. Het kostte 169 jaar (1352-1521) arbeid om de 123 meter hemelse toren van de kathedraal te bouwen, het hoogste gotische gebouw in de Lage Landen. De kathedraal is een iconische schatkamer, met een indrukwekkende collectie grote kunstwerken, waaronder een reeks schilderijen van Rubens. Nu, na twintig jaar, is de zevenbeukenkerk gerestaureerd in zijn oude architectonische glorie. Fascinerende kenmerken zijn onder meer Rubens' „Elevation of the Cross” en zijn „Descent from the Cross”.
