Over ons

Castello di Leonin Relais ligt midden in het beroemde Kreta, een van de meest opvallende landschappen in Toscane. Een 13e-eeuws fort, ooit het huis van de familie Chigi. Het werd gebruikt als zomerverblijf door kardinaal Fabio Chigi, die later paus Alexander VII werd. Gelegen tussen Siena en Asciano, dankzij een zorgvuldige restauratie die een aantal jaren duurde, werd Castello Leonina in 2003 in zijn vroegere pracht teruggebracht. Sindsdien biedt het zijn gasten de mogelijkheid om te genieten van rust en kalmte in een historische omgeving van grote schoonheid. Het hotel, het restaurant „Le Terrazze”, het vergadercentrum en het wellnesscentrum, alles in één gebouw ver van het lawaai en de vervuiling van de stad, de ideale plek om te ontspannen en te genieten van uw verblijf, of het nu voor werk of plezier is. De kwaliteit van onze service en bijzondere aandacht voor detail maken van elk verblijf een verrijkende en prestigieuze ervaring. We bieden een comfortabele omgeving plus net dat beetje extra zodat onze gasten zich helemaal thuis voelen.

Strazzanti was created by the 3 Strazzanti sisters with our youngest sister & professional Chef Emilia leading the experiences directly in Sicily. We continue the story and memories of our grandparents who taught us everything about our Sicilian and Neapolitan heritage. Growing up we understood our Italian heritage through them as people, their stories and by sharing, eating and cooking the dishes that they grew up with from their homeland and using the ingredients that our relatives would send to us in England from Sicily & Naples in small parcels. When our grandparents left us, it reinforced as a family that what they taught and shared with us is a huge part of our cultural identity, and we could not risk that heritage disappearing. Together as a family and working with other Sicilian families our passion is to give back to the land and work with like-minded young entrepreneurs, landowners and farmers in Sicily to keep this heritage and Sicilian traditions, which we all lovingly grew up with, alive.
