Gelegen in het prachtige landelijke Bedfordshire, is Woburn Forest een werkelijk unieke setting voor conferenties, vergaderingen en zakelijke evenementen, op slechts een uur rijden van Londen en vlakbij Flitwick Station. Je vindt alles wat je nodig hebt, allemaal op één plek - een verscheidenheid aan veelzijdige vergader- en evenementenruimtes in The Venue, een breed scala aan teambuildingactiviteiten, winkels en restaurants, Aqua Sana Forest Spa en luxe accommodatie ter plaatse - allemaal in een prachtig bos van 300 hectare waar je wilde dieren kunt spotten, waaronder herten, egels en hagedissen. Na een recente transformatie van £2,5 miljoen brengt het nieuwe ontwerpconcept van The Venue het buitenleven naar binnen, met inrichting en meubilair geïnspireerd op de natuurlijke wereld. Ons conferentiecentrum in het bos biedt plaats aan maximaal 600 personen en beschikt over acht suites met verwijderbare muren. Deze kunnen afzonderlijk of als één grote ruimte worden gebruikt, waardoor ze geschikt zijn voor zowel grote als kleine evenementen. Het beschikt over een buitenterras, receptie, bar en garderobe, gratis supersnelle WiFi en een ultramodern AV-systeem met op maat gemaakte verlichting en digitale schermen voor volledig aanpasbare evenementen. U vindt er ook speciale parkeerplaatsen voor evenementen en oplaadpunten voor elektrische voertuigen. Met een breed scala aan teambuildingactiviteiten is er voor elk wat wils — van avonturen vol adrenaline en watersporten op het meer tot rustige en creatieve activiteiten. Stories passed down through generations suggest that the inn’s wine cellar may have been used as a hiding place for valuable supplies and even people during times of conflict. In the 18th and 19th centuries, weary travelers and postal riders would find respite within its sturdy walls, enjoying the warmth and hospitality of this rural haven. The inn’s strategic location contributed to its significance in the area, making it a bustling spot of activity for both locals and travelers. As transportation evolved and the age of stagecoaches waned, the Bedford Post Inn transitioned into a private residence in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The building’s historic charm and rustic architecture were meticulously preserved by its various owners, each contributing to its legacy. In 2007 actor Richard Gere and his business partner Russell Hernandez acquired the property, recognizing its potential and historical significance, they embarked on an extensive renovation project to restore the inn to its former glory while incorporating modern luxuries. Today, the Bedford Post Inn is managed by Sunday Hospitality.
