Grand-Hornu is een oud industrieel mijnbouwcomplex - een opmerkelijke herinnering aan de industriële revolutie. Gebouwd tussen 1810 en 1830 door Henri De Gorge, een kapitein van de industrie van Franse afkomst, is het een echt stadsproject, een voorbeeld van functionele stadsplanning die uniek is op het Europese continent aan het begin van het grote tijdperk van industrialisatie. This new way of discovering a city via a walking tour with various challenges is a great way to learn about its history and discover its layout. Simple And Fun Each Tourist Scavenger Hunt is around 40 steps, 2-3 hours in duration on a 3-4km circuit which brings you back to the start.
