28 jaar lang kon je niet vertrekken of terugkeren naar Belvedere of Tiburon zonder een paard genaamd Blackie te passeren dat in een veld stond dat bekend werd als Blackie's Pasture. Dankzij een prachtig geschenk van de familie van Gordon Strawbridge, de eerste burgemeester van Tiburon, staat er vandaag een levensgroot bronzen beeld van Blackie in de wei, zichtbaar voor iedereen die voorbij rijdt. Het werd opgericht door de bekende kunstenaar uit de Bay Area, Albert Guibara, en werd in juni 1995 opgericht dankzij de Tiburon Peninsula Foundation. Het is een herinnering aan het verleden van Tiburon, een link met vroegere tijden en een dierbare herinnering die oudere bewoners delen met nieuwkomers. Loop Blackie's Pasture via de Old Rail Trail vanuit het centrum van Tiburon.
