Het 4-sterrenhotel Macdonald Craxton Wood Hotel & Spa ligt in de rustige omgeving van 27 hectare aan bossen in Cheshire en heeft de sfeer van afgelegen isolatie, maar toch ligt het op slechts een paar minuten van de snelwegverbindingen en op 10 minuten van de historische stad Chester. Bedrieglijk eenvoudig te bereiken, we zijn slechts 15 minuten verwijderd van de J10 van de M53 die aansluit op de M56, die op minder dan een uur rijden naar het centrum van Manchester leidt. Chester Station ligt op ongeveer 10 minuten rijden en de luchthaven van Manchester kan in iets meer dan een half uur worden bereikt. In de andere richting ligt Liverpool op slechts een half uur rijden. ONZE FACILITEITEN Ons zelfstandige conferentiecentrum is ideaal, of u nu een conferentie voor 300 deelnemers of een intieme bestuursvergadering plant. Een keuze uit zes kamers biedt een scala aan opties, elk met veel natuurlijk licht en met uitzichten die de schoonheid van het buitenleven naar binnen brengen. Onze prachtige Craxton Suite kan worden opgesplitst in twee vergaderzalen of gecombineerd worden tot één grote feestzaal met voldoende ruimte voor 300 gasten. Een eigen receptielounge met 4 bars en directe toegang tot de buitenlucht maken het ideaal voor tentoonstellingen, conferenties, galadiners en grote evenementen. Een keuze aan kamers met airconditioning en uitzicht over de tuin biedt plaats aan maximaal 50 personen en vormt een prachtige achtergrond voor uw strategiesessie, trainingsbijeenkomst of AVA. Onze boardroom is perfect voor interviews en vergaderingen. Gratis en onbeperkte wifi houdt u verbonden, terwijl er AV-apparatuur beschikbaar is om ervoor te zorgen dat aan uw technische behoeften wordt voldaan. Onze collectie van 72 slaapkamers biedt een prachtig uitzicht en veel kamers in het oorspronkelijke landhuis hebben uitstekende originele kenmerken behouden. Vind een balans tussen werk en ontspanning in onze onlangs vernieuwde healthclub en spa, of ontspan in het 27 hectare grote bos en tuinen voordat u gaat genieten van een gastronomisch diner in onze Craxton Wood Grill.

The economic growth of New York in the first half of the 19th century was driven by the Port of New York’s position as an import–export exchange and cargo center for emerging American and global markets. The Seaport and Pier 17 became a gateway for international shipping, maritime activities and the wholesale fish trade. South Street was known as the “Street of Ships” and the Wavertree, which is docked alongside Pier 17 to this day, arrived in New York City in 1895 en route to Calcutta with jute cargo aboard. The ship was acquired by the South Street Seaport Museum in 1968 and went through a 16-month, $13 million restoration. “These are the kinds of ships that built New York,” says Jonathan Boulware, executive director of the South Street Seaport Museum. A hub of commercial virtue (the finance, sea trade and printing press businesses were all located in this dense port) and accompanying vice (the area is home to some of the city’s oldest drinking dens, which played host to all manner of illicit activities back in the day), the Seaport was the first 24-hour district in New York, hence the phrase “the city that never sleeps”.
