Just North of Empangeni on the N2 is the Canefields Country House. Originally a sugar cane mansion now converted into a homely, country hotel. Canefields prides itself on offering old-fashioned hospitality and personalized service. The spacious main building houses six double rooms each comfortably decorated, with their own en-suite bathrooms. Cottages set in lush gardens maintain this unique feature, offering homely comforts in a relaxed, private atmosphere. Units with adjoining rooms are available for families. Canefields’ newly completed accommodation block boosts the number of rooms to fifty-four and offers the same comforts guests have become accustomed to with new modern fittings and features. The Honeymoon suite consists of exquisite furnishings, corner bathtub and private balcony overlooking the expanse of property. The Siding conference and function room seats up to 450 people in air-conditioned comfort and can be easily partitioned into three, more intimate, venues for smaller groups. Canefields offers couples an opportunity to begin their marriage in harmonious bliss with romantic weddings on the terrace or in the function hall. The flexibility of the conference rooms allows for stress free, productive seminars in a tranquil atmosphere. For smaller groups the 30 seater Green Room is the ideal venue. Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast in the Cane Cutters restaurant which is well known for its A-la-carte menu.
