Het Skeffington Arms Hotel; of The Skeff zoals de lokale bevolking het noemt, staat bekend als de ontmoetingsplaats van Galway. Sinds 1850 komen de inwoners van Galway naar The Skeff vanwege het goede eten, de vriendelijkheid van ons personeel en het bruisende nachtleven, maar het belangrijkste is dat ze hier komen voor de Sceil (roddels), om oude vrienden te ontmoeten en bij te praten onder het genot van een drankje of twee.
