Place des Nations is een groot plein in het hart van de internationale wijk van Genève, tegenover het hoofdkantoor van de Verenigde Naties, beroemd vanwege de huisvesting van Broken Chair. Place des Nations is speciaal voorgesteld als een plaats om vrijelijk elke mening te uiten - politiek, religieus, persoonlijk of anderszins. Het zit dus vaak vol met mensen die petities demonstreren of invullen. Huge Broken Chair herdenkt slachtoffers van mijnrampen. Het plein zelf is opgebouwd uit grote marmeren blokken en 3 rijen eenvoudige fonteinen van 12. Veel toeristen komen hier om foto's te maken, maar op het plein zijn geen restaurants of eetgelegenheden, behalve een waterbron. Veel stoelen rond het plein om te zitten. Klein groen park tegenover de straat. Er is een bus- en tramhalte Nations, die Place des Nations met de stad verbindt. Veel internationale organisaties zijn gevestigd in de omgeving - UNICEF, WHO, WTO, Rode Kruis
