De belangrijkste attractie van de oever van het meer is de waterstraal, die bezoekers verblindt terwijl deze 140 meter de lucht in schiet. Winter: open van 10.00 tot 16.00 uur Geschiedenis: Zoals de meeste grote uitvindingen, is de Jet d'eau eigenlijk per ongeluk gecreëerd. Toen de ambachtelijke hydraulische krachtmachines van Genève niet meer werden gebruikt, creëerde een klep die was ontworpen om overdruk te verlichten door water te laten ontsnappen een straal van 30 meter naar de lucht. In 1891 besloot de gemeenteraad van Genève om van de waterstraal een toeristische attractie te maken en deze naar het einde van de steiger in de haven van Eaux-Vives te verplaatsen. Verbonden met het drinkwaternetwerk, werd de 2e waterstraal geboren - klimmend tot 90 m. In 1951 lieten nieuwe waterwerken gebouwd om het meer te gebruiken de jet 140 m bereiken.

De bloemenklok, opgericht in 1955, is over de hele wereld bekend en onlangs gerenoveerd in mei 2017. Mozaïekexperts van Genève implanteerden zorgvuldig 12000 planten voor een nieuw concept van bloemsamenstelling. Het irrigatiesysteem is van fundamenteel belang voor het behoud van de bloemomstandigheden samen met hun blootstelling aan de zon. Nieuwe handen (met een elegant ontwerp dicht bij de originele) werden vervaardigd en royaal aan de stad aangeboden door de firma Patek Philippe. De tweede hand, die de seconden markeert, 2,5 meter lang, is waarschijnlijk de grootste ter wereld. De klok heeft een elektronische tijdinstelling via satelliet.
