Hyatt Regency Hakone Resort and Spa ligt in het nationale park Fuji Hakone Izu, 80 km ten westen van Tokio. Deze woonlodge ligt aan de voet van de berg Fuji en is gelegen in een gebied (Gora) dat bekend staat om zijn natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen (onsens). De krater — die werd gevormd tijdens de laatste dampvormige uitbarsting van het Hakone-gebergte, toen de hoogste berg in Hakone, Mt. Kami is 3000 jaar geleden uitgebarsten — tot op de dag van vandaag spuwt er hete damp en sulfide uit. Het weidse uitzicht op Mt. Vanaf deze plek kun je genieten van Fuji (50 natuurgebieden in Kanagawa).
