We hebben een breed scala aan ski- en snowboardlessen en liftpassen samengesteld, zodat er voor elk wat wils is. Of je nu een doorgewinterde professional bent die elke week op zoek is naar een nieuw freestylepark, net aan je snowsportreis begint of gewoon van de pistes wilt genieten op onze sleeën, je vindt het in The Snow Centre. Breng na je sessie op de piste zeker een bezoek aan onze Schuss Bar op de piste, geniet van GRATIS thee en koffie tijdens je sessie. Beschikbaar van maandag tot vrijdag van 10.30 tot 15.30 uur en op zaterdag en zondag van 10.00 tot 18.30 uur. Buiten de helling hebben we een restaurant met een alpine thema: The Lodge Bar & Kitchen, dat een panoramisch uitzicht over de helling biedt en een geheel nieuw menu gecombineerd met traditionele favorieten en ook heerlijke gerechten uit de Alpen. Het is ook een geweldige plek om live van Sky Sports te genieten op een van onze vele grote tv's, en je hoeft niet de helling op om van onze Cafebar te genieten.

De Harry Potter-filmserie maakte van Leavesden meer dan tien jaar zijn thuis. Omdat de boeken nog steeds werden uitgebracht terwijl de films werden gemaakt, bewaarde de productieploeg veel van de iconische sets, rekwisieten en kostuums die speciaal voor de films waren gemaakt - voor het geval ze later in de serie ooit nodig zouden zijn. Toen de opnames van Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 in 2010 waren afgerond, had de productieploeg een schat aan duizenden ingewikkelde en prachtig gemaakte artefacten over, waarvan er vele niet bewaard zouden zijn gebleven bij een typische productie. Het team achter Warner Bros. Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter wilde deze iconische rekwisieten, kostuums en decors behouden en tentoonstellen, zodat Harry Potter-fans de magie van filmmaken uit de eerste hand konden ervaren. Veel van de originele cast en crew keerden terug om de sets weer in elkaar te zetten en hun filmherinneringen vast te leggen, en op 31 maart 2012 opende de Studio Tour zijn deuren.

The economic growth of New York in the first half of the 19th century was driven by the Port of New York’s position as an import–export exchange and cargo center for emerging American and global markets. The Seaport and Pier 17 became a gateway for international shipping, maritime activities and the wholesale fish trade. South Street was known as the “Street of Ships” and the Wavertree, which is docked alongside Pier 17 to this day, arrived in New York City in 1895 en route to Calcutta with jute cargo aboard. The ship was acquired by the South Street Seaport Museum in 1968 and went through a 16-month, $13 million restoration. “These are the kinds of ships that built New York,” says Jonathan Boulware, executive director of the South Street Seaport Museum. A hub of commercial virtue (the finance, sea trade and printing press businesses were all located in this dense port) and accompanying vice (the area is home to some of the city’s oldest drinking dens, which played host to all manner of illicit activities back in the day), the Seaport was the first 24-hour district in New York, hence the phrase “the city that never sleeps”.
